Welcome to Deepdean Design & a sample of some of the projects we have worked on over the years. From Apses to pergolas, garden rooms to arches, arbours to planters, signs to mantlepieces and more, if it’s made of wood then it’s pretty likely we can build it!

Summer room (and two storey extension)

Howle Hill, Ross-on-Wye

  • Timber summer room with direct glazing and lantern

Leaf Creative Garden Centre

Huntley, Gloucs.

  • ‘The Apse.’ Thatched timber structure used as focal point and events area at local garden centre.
  • Design and construction 2023

The Sidings

Hereford

  • ‘Train platform’ roof structure to cover outdoor area outside a cafe/restaurant situated in a refurbished railway carriage.
  • Design and construction 2024

Private house

Harrow Hill, Forest of Dean

  • New porch and outdoor studio to replace demolished garage.
  • Design and construction 2024/25

Trecorras Farm

Ross-on-Wye

  • Covered entertainment area, timber frame using our own home-grown larch, and Rosemary tiles.
  • Design and construction 2024

Growing Local

Hereford

  • New office, packing shed and machinery store for community organic vegetable farm.
  • Larch timber sourced from our own woodland near Ross-on-Wye.

Saint John’s Chapel

Howle Hill, Ross-on-Wye

  • Covered entertainment area including outdoor spa for converted Victorian chapel.
  • Oak, with slate roof, local stone walling and IPE deck.

Pergola design for private house

Lea, Gloucestershire

  • Oak posts and laminated oak beams.
  • Oak rafters supported with stainless steel wire
