ABOUT US / Deepdean Design is the partnership of Lucian Quatermass, who has deep knowledge and a lifelong interest in building with wood – including design, and both modern and traditional methods of construction – and John Hamilton, a landscape architect and woodland manager. Lucian has had extensive experience in the restoration of historic buildings. The Deepdean HQ is nestled in family woodland on the edge of the Forest of Dean, where we have our own source of sustainable timber including larch, chestnut, hazel and Douglas fir. We also use locally sourced oak.

“We cannot thank the team enough and would recommend Deepdean Design without hesitation to anyone considering an oak-framed project, whether it’s a porch, garage, garden room or a substantial bespoke structure like ours. Their workmanship is outstanding, and the experience of working with them has been every bit as impressive as the finished result.’”
